This gesture acts as a heartfelt goodbye, marking the conclusion of a journey.
Typically, the coffin remains on the catafalque, or platform, until the service concludes and the mourners leave.
No movement happens in front of the family or guests, out of respect and to maintain dignity.
When the family and attendees, there is a purposeful silence, by the Funeral Director and Crematorium Attendant paying respect to the moment and maintaining a sense of dignity.
